Fundamental Analysis: EYWA

Arcanum Venture is proud to publish our third Fundamental Analysis report. The purpose of this report is to examine the foundations of an interesting blockchain startup that investors may be interested in.

Our mission is to improve the startup landscape from both sides. We hope this report will provide some inspiration for investors hoping to improve their research and evaluation skills and founders who are hoping to refine their pitches to secure early-stage capital.

How to Securely Bridge Blockchain Networks?

EYWA is a blockchain infrastructure startup that originally reached out to Arcanum Ventures last year for financial backing. We saw immense value in their secure and decentralized protocol to safely verify the transfer of assets across networks. In a perfect world, blockchain interoperability is the endgame, and someone must lead the way.

The founding team at EYWA was excited to get an in-depth look at their promising new protocol from an investor’s perspective. Their openness and willingness to gain some critical feedback through our evaluation only fed our excitement.

A Disclaimer of Our Evaluation

Arcanum Venture’s scoring methodology is a combination of subjective and objective analysis. Our rankings are based on both intuitive knowledge we take from our experience in the web3 industry and quantitative scoring based on questions we answer during the analysis.

Although our analysis seems quite comprehensive, we must state that this is just the tip of the iceberg. This report should not be the sole instrument used to make an investment decision, as our analysis dives far deeper. The info provided in the report is condensed to help uncover interesting points to springboard into further thought and discussion.

One major disclaimer we must make – our analysis is performed solely on publicly available information and does not include information provided through communication with the team unless otherwise stated. The reason for this distinction is that publicly made available information ensures greater accountability for the team in an industry that lacks regulation or oversight.

With that being said, it’s also important to note that any low scores for any of the categories may be a result of either a valid gap in the fundamentals or a lack of publicly available information. This gap in information may not mean that the team is lacking in a specific area, simply that the message has not yet been communicated to retail investors and the public.

Report Summary

EYWA is an extremely well-rounded startup, checking boxes in many major categories, including: team experience, business model, and ecosystem backers. Our evaluation uncovered some areas for improvement or topics the team could clarify further for curious investors:

  • Consistency in marketing strategy and content creation
  • Technical security vulnerabilities and platform audits
  • DAO governance responsibilities and treasury token utilization

Based on our Analysis, Arcanum would highly consider investing in EWYA given the team addresses concerns around these areas. One of the primary focuses of the business development strategy should be creating user-focused content to help explain the tangible benefits of security, decentralization, and efficiency of EYWA’s products versus competitor products.

About EYWA

EYWA is a system that allows various ecosystems of blockchains to interact with each other. They provide a possibility for users to quickly and cheaply move their assets among different networks and for developers to effectively implement cross-chain logic for their decentralized applications. The core architectural element of the EYWA ecosystem is the EYWA Cross-chain Data Protocol, which is a transport layer among blockchains. All EYWA products for DeFi users are based on this protocol.
