Who we build for

For founders building toward something bigger

We look for fintech founders with a real product taking shape and the ambition to build something truly exceptional.

Stage
Pre-seed to seed

Companies that have moved beyond the concept stage. You should have a working prototype, MVP or product already being tested. The company can still be early, but there needs to be something tangible for us to evaluate and build on. Revenue is not required. Pilots, users, LOIs, technical validation or other credible metrics can all count.

Product
Built for finance

We look for companies solving a meaningful problem in financial services or the infrastructure behind them. There should be a clear reason the business could become valuable to its market and strategically interesting to a larger player.

Team
Founders that run at it

We look for committed founders who understand the problem deeply and have shown they can turn decisions into action. You should be willing to change course when the evidence demands it and be ready to focus fully on the company throughout the program.

The prima materia

Gold hides in the unlikeliest ore

Great companies can come from unexpected places. If you've found a problem worth solving and can show us why your approach has potential, we want to see it.

The bargain

Your company is your coursework

We don't measure success by workshops attended or boxes ticked. Transmute is designed for founders who are ready to make the program a priority. The pace is demanding, and progress is reviewed through changes inside the company.

Feedbackfrom start to finish

We work alongside you throughout the program, giving direct feedback on the company as it develops and helping you navigate the decisions ahead.

Hybrid by design

13 weeks online, 2 weeks together

The program begins remotely so teams can keep building from where they are. The final 2 weeks bring the cohort together for more concentrated work and closer expert involvement.

Testimonials

What others say about us

Arcanum Ventures truly likes startups and respect founders, providing clear feedback and being transparent in decision-making. Many startups from InnMind learned, that you can’t expect a light-minded decision after a 15 mins call: Arcanum does their due diligence on a deep level. But once they decide to invest, you can expect true «smart money» with care, attention, and support for portfolio companies. That’s so rare nowadays and can’t be overestimated.

Nelli OrlovaCEO of InnMind

Loved working with the Arcanum Ventures team and seeing their in-depth approach towards designing economics by understanding the product. Taking feedback & iterating is the most important skill needed in creating a complex economic design – Arcanum delivers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Transmute is for pre-seed and seed companies that have moved beyond the idea stage. You should have a working prototype, MVP or product in market, with some evidence outside your own team that the problem is worth solving. We look for technically ambitious companies led by founders who can commit full-time for the fifteen weeks.
Applications are reviewed for stage fit, technical substance and evidence that the team can execute. We also assess whether Transmute can materially improve the company during the 15 weeks. Shortlisted teams meet with the program team and may be asked to provide additional product, ownership and company information before final selection.
No. Revenue can be useful evidence, but it is not required. Early users, pilots, letters of intent, technical validation or another credible signal may be enough. What matters is that you have begun testing the company beyond your own assumptions.
Participation in Transmute does not guarantee investment. Companies may be considered separately for investment by Arcanum Ventures or partners, with any terms discussed directly with the founders.
Yes. Founders are expected to make the company and the programme their full-time focus for 15 weeks.
Not mandatory, but at least one core founder from each company is encouraged to attend the full 2-week in-person phase. Bringing the cohort together allows for more concentrated work and closer collaboration than the remote portion alone can provide.
No. Acquisition readiness is one pathway, but selling the company is not a requirement. Transmute also prepares teams to raise capital, work with enterprise partners and enter more demanding commercial conversations. The final phase is adapted around the company’s most relevant next move.
Yes. Investors, experienced operators and strategic companies can participate through various ways. We also work with organisations interested in supporting pilots, partnerships, investment opportunities or potential acquisitions. Contact: invest@arcanum.ventures
